It all began when Adams, known by various aliases including 'Davey Holland' and 'David Irwin,' moved into a flat in Lurgan, where he was living incognito until neighbors uncovered his true identity this week. One local father recounted, “Word got about on Thursday after a social worker told one parent who he was. A group of mums and dads gathered outside the flat. They weren’t threatening him or anything but they wanted him out. The guy has come out the door and I ended up chasing him out of the close.”

Adams’s criminal history is extensive and deeply troubling. He was convicted in 2009 of raping a 14-year-old girl in Bangor, County Down, after giving her alcohol. He was sentenced to eight and a half years but was released early, only to be rearrested earlier this year for breaching license conditions by being found in the company of an underage girl. In June, residents of a tower block in Milton, Glasgow, had already campaigned for Adams’s removal after he was seen in the company of a child, further fueling fears of his predatory behavior. Adams’s criminal record includes a conviction in March 2009 for raping a schoolgirl in Bangor, which resulted in an eight-and-a-half-year prison sentence. The victim, aged between 13 and 14 at the time, described how Adams had taken her into a flat in Bangor, where he assaulted her. Despite his conviction, Adams has continued to deny the charges, claiming innocence.

His criminal activities extend beyond Ireland and Scotland, with recent legal issues arising in Craigavon, where a warrant was issued for his arrest. A judge in Craigavon expressed frustration over his absence, noting that Adams had been accused of possessing a firearm in suspicious circumstances along with another man, Daniel Duffy, from Lurgan.
