November 2016 Pervert admitted possessing indecent images of children A BRACKNELL man has been jailed for five years for possessing indecent images of children after police found him trying to burn evidence in his microwave. Darren Rowlings, 41, of Mount Lane in the town, admitted one count of possessing indecent images of children, one count of breaching terms of a Sexual Offences Prevention Order and one count of perverting the court of justice at Reading Crown Court on Friday where he was imprisoned. The Thames Valley Police Paedophile Online Investigation Team received information that Rowlings had been accessing indecent images of children. On August 16, officers used a warrant under the Section Four Protection of Children 1978 act to visit Rowlings at home. Rowlings did not answer the door, and officers were able to hear a fire alarm beeping from within his address. They carried out a forced entry, and found Rowlings attempting to burn evidence in the microwave. Rowlings was arrested and charged the same day, and was remanded in custody.
