A MAN who had sex with a 15-year-old girl and her best pal during a threesome has been put on the sex offenders' register for five years.
Darren Richardson, 27, had sex with the girl, a minor, and her 16-year-old friend after inviting them to his home in Galashiels in the Borders.
It came to light after Richardson, 25 at the time, struck up a close relationship with the older girl and the 15-year-old became jealous.
She told relatives what had happened and they then informed the police.
At Selkirk Sheriff Court yesterday, Richardson pleaded guilty to unlawful sex with the underage girl at his former flat in Thistle Street between November 3 and 4.
He also admitted five charges of possession of drugs, including ecstasy.
Sentence was deferred for background reports.
Ross Dow, defending, said Richardson, now of High Buckholmside, was "ashamed and regrets not taking time to think things through".
