DRUNK FATHER OF FIVE EXPOSED HIMSELF NEAR SCHOOL IN NOTTINGHAM
A drunk man was seen flashing outside a school, a court heard.Father-of-five Darren Jones, 37, was near Our Lady & St Edwards R C Primary School & Nursery, in Thorneywood, but it was the Easter holidays and a Saturday morning.
No children were in school at the time - but a witness saw his private areas as she passed in a car in Gordon Road, Thorneywood, on April 8 this year.
The incident lasted for seconds before Jones pulled his trousers up to cover himself.
In one hand he was carrying a bottle of Vodka, Nottingham Crown Court heard on Monday (July 3), and appeared to be intoxicated.
Jones, of Lawrence Close, Cotgrave, was arrested with cocaine and cannabis for his own use.
He stated to police there was 'no conscious act' - and claimed the witnesses were lying.
One of those described feeling 'upset, annoyed and shocked', and the second was particularly concerned the offence was near to a school children regularly attended.
Jones went on to plead guilty to committing an act of outraging public decency, possessing cocaine and cannabis.
He was given a five-month prison sentence, suspended for 12 months, with ten rehabilitation activity days.
The court heard he was on a suspended sentence at the time and was handed 20 extra rehabilitation days in addition for the breach.
Jones's lawyer said he was intoxicated after his mother passed away in March this year.
He was drinking to excess and taking drugs - but has now taken a step back and has stopped drinking and taking drugs.
Judge Steven Coupland said Jones' behaviour was disgraceful but there was no sexual intent.
