DARREL CARTER FROM CARLISLE NOW ARRESTED AFTER BREACHING ORDER FOUND TALKING TO YOUNG WOMEN ON VINTED
Darrel Carter, aged 34, has been sentenced after violating a sexual risk order by reaching out to numerous young women online and attempting to flatter them through compliments.Court proceedings revealed that Carter contacted dozens of females via the Vinted platform, where he also searched for bikinis and mid-length shorts, despite being prohibited from communicating with anyone under 18.
This breach of court order stems from a 2020 ruling that restricted his online activity and contact with minors.
The Carlisle Magistrates Court acknowledged his failure to adhere to these restrictions, which included not only contact bans but also limits on online searches and messaging.
Carter admitted to not providing police with his username when required.
Prosecutor Diane Jackson noted that since 2023, Carter had repeatedly breached his sexual risk order by approaching underage girls and asking about their relationships.
In 2023, he was sentenced to 20 months in prison for contacting a 15-year-old girl.
Subsequently, in November 2024, he received an additional 27-month sentence for breaching the order.
On the same day, he was given a further 34 weeks to serve concurrently.
Defense attorney Ant Wilson stated that Carter had been staying indoors and described his mental health as deteriorating, also highlighting his reluctance to meet anyone aware of his convictions.
