DANIL SNJATKOVSKI FROM LLANDUDNO CAUGHT WITH SEVERE CHILD PORNOGRAPHY IMAGES

In May 2019, a disturbing case emerged involving an 18-year-old man from Estonia who had relocated to Britain in pursuit of better educational opportunities. The individual, identified as Danil Snjatkovski, was found to possess some of the most severe child pornography images available on the internet, depicting the brutal torture of young children. The case came to light when Snjatkovski was arrested at his residence on Cae Clyd in Llandudno last October.

During the proceedings at Caernarfon Crown Court, it was revealed that Snjatkovski's collection included 31 movies classified in the most severe category of child abuse material. In addition to these movies, authorities discovered over 40 other images that further underscored the gravity of his possession. The court was informed that the content was not only graphic but also considered among the worst of its kind, highlighting the disturbing nature of his online activities.

In response to the evidence presented, the court imposed a two-year community order on Snjatkovski. This sentence included 120 hours of unpaid work and mandated participation in rehabilitation programs aimed at addressing his behavior. Furthermore, a five-year sexual harm prevention order was issued, restricting his access to any material or activities that could facilitate further harm or exploitation.

Judge Huw Rees addressed the defendant directly, acknowledging the seriousness of the offenses. He stated, “When you say in the pre-sentence report ‘I have made the worst mistake of my life,’ you are correct. When you say, in particular, one of those movies you watched left you truly terrified, you are also correct. Showing any interest in such images creates a demand for further abuse of children.” The judge’s comments underscored the gravity of the crime and the importance of preventative measures to protect vulnerable children from exploitation.
