DANIEL STEVENS ATTACKS WOMAN IN CROSSHILL: SHERIFF COURT SENTENCE

A serious assault occurred in Crosshill involving a woman who was violently attacked by her partner, resulting in her being dragged from her home and left outside in a semi-naked condition. The incident has drawn significant attention as Daniel Stevens, aged 42 and residing on Castle Avenue in Crosshill, appeared before Dunfermline Sheriff Court to face charges related to his actions.

According to court records, on June 13th, Stevens committed a brutal assault at his residence. During the altercation, he physically attacked his partner, forcibly removed her clothing, and then seized her by the arm. The assault escalated as he pushed her onto a sofa and subsequently dragged her outside the house. As a result of this violent episode, the woman sustained multiple injuries, including bruising, friction burns, and a grazed knee, which underscored the severity of the attack.

The incident reportedly stemmed from a heated argument between the two, during which Stevens lunged at his partner and forcibly took her phone. Following the assault, the woman managed to seek help from a neighbor, prompting the police to be called to the scene. The authorities responded promptly, and Stevens was taken into custody.

During the court proceedings, Stevens' legal representative, Stephen Morrison, emphasized that his client struggles with anger management and anxiety issues, which may have contributed to his violent behavior. Despite these mitigating factors, the court recognized the seriousness of the offense.
