KELSO MAN AVOIDS JAIL AFTER ADMITTING TO INDECENT IMAGES OF CHILDREN
A 28-year-old man named Daniel Purvis has admitted to possessing indecent images of children and taking or allowing to be taken indecent photographs of children.The offences took place at a house in Orchard Park, Kelso, between February 2020 and February 2021.
He also pleaded guilty to attempting to pervert the course of justice by damaging a mobile phone at the same property on February 8, 2021.
Court proceedings revealed that Purvis narrowly avoided jail and was instead sentenced to carry out 250 hours of unpaid work as part of a community payback order with supervised internet access.
Additionally, he was ordered to adhere to the notification requirements of the Sexual Offences Act for two years.
His current residence is reported as Kirknewton, near Wooler, Northumberland.
