DANIEL HARRISON SENTENCED TO 12 YEARS IN PRISON IN NOTTINGHAM FOR MULTIPLE SEXUAL OFFENCES AGAINST TEENAGE BOYS

A man described as a "manipulative predator" has been sentenced to 12 years in prison after admitting to 19 sexual offences involving two teenage boys.

Daniel Harrison, aged 44, of Roe Hill, Woodborough, was investigated in 2018 following a report from one victim about incidents that occurred in 2009.

Nottinghamshire Police stated that detectives were then made aware of allegations concerning the second victim, involving offences committed over several years.

The police emphasized that both victims "showed enormous courage" for coming forward.

Initially, Harrison denied committing any sexual abuse, claiming the accusations were false.

However, he later admitted to sexually assaulting one of the boys and confessed to 18 offences against the other, including seven counts of sexual activity with a child and 11 counts of inciting a child to engage in sexual activity.

Harrison was sentenced at Nottingham Crown Court on Monday.

In addition to his prison term, he was ordered to register as a sex offender for life and was given an indefinite sexual harm prevention order.

Detective Constable Christopher Featonby commented on the case: "Harrison is a calculating and manipulative sexual predator who groomed and exploited two teenage boys." He added, "His victims - supported by their families - showed enormous courage by coming forward and giving evidence against him, and I would like to thank them both for the dignity and bravery they have shown."
