PRIMARY SCHOOL TEACHER POSED AS GIRL TO TRICK BOYS INTO SENDING HIM PICS
A primary school educator deceived two young boys by masquerading as a teenage girl, leading them to send explicit images and videos of themselves. The offences committed by Daniel Fuge had a devastating impact, leaving the victims 'broken'.
The 38-year-old man created a fake online profile as a 16-year-old girl to lure the boys.
He persuaded a 13-year-old to film himself performing a sexual act and also coaxed a 14-year-old to share nude photographs of himself.
Following his arrest, Fuge attempted to harm himself by jumping in front of a train and sustained a broken arm.
He received a ten-year prison sentence at Mold Crown Court after being found guilty of two charges he had denied.
During the sentencing, the father of the first victim read an emotional statement via video link from Berwyn prison.
He described his son as 'bright, kind, and considerate' but said he had become a victim of Fuge’s manipulations and desire for control.
The boy, who was bullied after Fuge posted his images online, lived in constant fear of online harassment, even while at home.
The father expressed relief that Fuge’s 'faceless evil' was finally stopped, and addressed him directly by saying it was now Fuge's turn to feel shame and fear.
The mother of the second victim also provided a statement, read out by a prosecutor.
She expressed her concern for her 'broken boy', explaining she constantly checked on him because she feared he might attempt self-harm.
She called Fuge a 'monster' and emphasized that although he stole their childhood, he would not be able to take their futures.
Fuge was sentenced to seven years for inciting a boy aged 13 to 15 to engage in sexual acts involving penetration, and an additional three years for similar offences without penetration against another boy.
Hailing from Prospect Road, Dorchester, Dorset, Fuge had been working as a primary school teacher in Saudi Arabia.
Authorities located devices in Wrexham containing five indecent images of children, categorized as Category C.
Defence lawyer Nicholas Williams acknowledged that Fuge’s role as a teacher was concerning but stated there was no connection between his crimes and any students in the Middle East.
The judge, Rhys Rowlands, ordered Fuge to register as a sex offender for ten years and imposed a sexual harm prevention order for the same period.
An indefinite restraining order was also issued to prevent him from contacting his victims, and he is barred from working with children or vulnerable adults.
