CROSSHILL MAN JAILED AFTER THREATENING PARTNER AND ASSAULTING 15-YEAR-OLD GIRL
A CROSSHILL man made threats to his partner for more than four years and also grabbed a 15-year-old girl by the throat.
Daniel Drummond, 24, of Castle Avenue, appeared at Dunfermline Sheriff Court for sentencing.
He admitted previously that on various occasions between April 1, 2015, and November 14, 2019, at Ballingry, Crosshill, on a bus and elsewhere, he shouted and swore at his then partner, made offensive remarks towards her, threatened her with violence and sent an online message in which he also threatened her with violence.
He also admitted that on an occasion between May 1-31, 2016, at an address in Ballingry, he assaulted a 15-year-old girl by seizing her by the throat, thereby restricting her breathing and pushing her over an item of furniture.
Depute fiscal Lauren Pennycook said the threats included: “I’m coming to your house tonight" and "I’ll smash f*** out of every c***.” Sheriff Alison Michie imposed a community payback order with 180 hours of unpaid work and 12 months of supervision.
