CAFE OWNER ACCUSED OF SEXUALLY HARASSING UNDERAGE GIRL AND MAKING LEWD COMMENTS
Two teenage waitresses, Leanne O'Brien aged 16 and Amy Steele aged 17, have accused a cafe owner, Clifford Combe, aged 40, of sexual harassment and making lewd comments about underage girls. They claim that Combe boasted about having sexual encounters with a former employee who was only 15, and discussed using sex toys with his wife, Edith.
According to the girls, Combe told them he would prefer to 'get his leg over' Leanne because Amy looked like a snob.
Amy expressed her fear, stating, "He told us he went with a past employee who was 15.
I was scared to be on my own with him." The incident occurred at Chloe's Cafe in Crosshill, Fife.
The couple, who now operate a different cafe near their home in Lochgelly, failed to appear at the Edinburgh tribunal to respond to these allegations.
Mrs.
Combe has denied the accusations, claiming they were fabricated because the girls were caught stealing tips.
She also mentioned that her husband is currently in Durham jail on remand, awaiting trial on drugs charges.
A legal ruling on the allegations is expected within eight weeks.
