HUNTINGDON PAEDOPHILE DANIEL CHISNALL SENTENCED FOR CHILD SEX OFFENSES

A man from Huntingdon, Daniel Chisnall, aged 48, has been sentenced to over five years in prison after being convicted of serious crimes involving the exploitation of young girls. The case highlights the disturbing extent of his criminal activities, which included planning to meet minors for sexual assault and possessing explicit images of children.

Chisnall was apprehended by officers from the National Crime Agency in December of the previous year. His arrest took place at a pub located within Huntingdon, a town in Cambridgeshire, where he was found before he could check into a nearby hotel. Authorities had been monitoring his online activities and had uncovered evidence of his disturbing intentions.

Prior to his detention, Chisnall engaged in conversations with other individuals involved in similar criminal behavior through various online platforms, including Kik, WhatsApp, and email. Under a pseudonym, he communicated with a user who claimed to have access to two young girls, aged seven and eleven. During these exchanges, Chisnall expressed a desire to sexually assault the children when they met, revealing his disturbing sexual interests in children.

Following his arrest, law enforcement officers conducted a thorough search of his residence. Devices seized during the search were subjected to forensic analysis, which uncovered a troubling collection of illegal material. The investigation revealed that Chisnall’s phone contained twelve indecent images of children, categorized from A to C, with Category A representing the most severe content. Additionally, five printed posters of such images, also in categories A and C, were found at his home.

Chisnall, who worked as a minibus driver for vulnerable adults, faced multiple charges. These included one count of arranging or facilitating the sexual assault of a child, one count of making indecent images of children in categories A-C, and one count of possessing such images. He pleaded guilty to these charges at Cambridge Crown Court on January 16.

Today, at Huntingdon Crown Court, he was sentenced to a term of five years and two months in prison. The court also ordered that he be placed on the sex offenders register for life and imposed an indefinite sexual harm prevention order to restrict his future activities and protect the community from potential harm.
