January 2021 Voyeur hid secret camera in rucksack to spy on toilet at North Wales sports club Coaches and volunteers filmed changing at a North Wales sports club spoke of their shock and embarrassment at finding out what had taken place. Police officers found nearly 40 clips of video footage on a mobile phone seized from Daniel Anthony Chadwick-Jonesafter staff at the club became suspicious of his behaviour in the room. The 29-year-old admitted placing his rucksack with a mobile phone set to camera mode in the disabled toilet where sportspeople, including youngsters, would get changed. Chadwick-Jones, of Bretton Lane, Chester, pleaded guilty to 13 charges of voyeurism at an earlier hearing and was at Caernarfon Crown Court for sentence. Jailing him for six months Judge Huw Rees said he was satisfied Chadwick-Jones showed a realistic prospect of rehabilitation and suspended the jail term for two years. He said: “This is not a soft option. It will be hanging over you for a far longer period than a term of immediate custody and will allow work to address the root cause of your offending to be carried out.” In addition to the jail term Chadwick-Jones must attend 80 days of rehabilitation activity and 45 sessions of a sex offender programme. He must also carry out 240 hours of unpaid community work. Chadwick-Jones will be on the Sex Offenders Register for seven years and observe the terms of a Sexual Harm Prevention Order for the same period.
