KIDSGROVE PERVERT DANIEL BOSSONS SENTENCED TO SIX YEARS FOR SEXUAL ABUSE OF SCHOOLBOY

In a disturbing case that has shocked the community of Kidsgrove, Daniel Bossons, a 31-year-old man, was sentenced to six years in prison after being found guilty of engaging in sexual activities with a teenage boy. The incident unfolded shortly after Bossons had organized a Halloween maze event at his residence, which was held on Gloucester Road and attracted hundreds of children from the local area.

Back in October 2012, Bossons obtained a temporary event license from Newcastle Borough Council to host the elaborate Halloween maze, inspired by the popular Scarefest attraction at Alton Towers. The setup was quite elaborate, featuring security fencing, laser effects, and even an old piano to enhance the spooky atmosphere. To add to the eerie ambiance, Bossons also created a short video depicting an ancient curse on his home, and he persuaded friends and family members to dress up as horror characters, including a zombie schoolgirl, to entertain the children.

At the time, Bossons explained to The Sentinel that his intention was simply to provide a fun and engaging activity for children during Halloween, stating, “I just thought it would be good to have something for the children to do on Halloween.” However, just days after the event, a darker side of Bossons’ actions came to light. He befriended a teenage boy who was struggling with his own sexuality, and their relationship took a sinister turn. According to court proceedings, Bossons kissed the boy and engaged in mutual sexual acts with him before ultimately having sex with the teenager.

The Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court heard that Bossons pleaded guilty to two charges of sexual activity with a child and inciting a child to engage in sexual activity. He denied three other charges of sexual activity with a child, and a jury acquitted him of two counts. Nevertheless, the court found him guilty of the most serious charge, which involved him having sex with the schoolboy.

During the sentencing, Peter McCartney, representing Bossons, stated that his client was going through a difficult period in his life and that his feelings towards the young boy were driven by infatuation rather than coercion. Despite this, Judge David Fletcher emphasized the gravity of the offense, highlighting that Bossons had deliberately targeted a vulnerable teenager who was struggling with his own sexuality. The judge pointed out that Bossons had planned the encounter and exploited the boy’s confusion for his own sexual gratification.

Judge Fletcher sentenced Bossons to six years in prison and ordered that he be placed on the sex offenders’ register for life. The court also noted the serious breach of trust involved in the case. A spokesperson for Newcastle Borough Council declined to comment on the matter, stating, “We do not feel it is appropriate to comment.” The community of Kidsgrove remains shaken by the revelations, and the case serves as a stark reminder of the importance of safeguarding vulnerable youths from exploitation and abuse.
