DAMIEN GARFORD CAUGHT IN NOTTINGHAM WITH CHILD RAPE IMAGES FROM OXFORD
In a disturbing case that has shocked the local community, Damien Garford, a 31-year-old man originally from Oxford, was found to be in possession of a significant collection of child sexual abuse images during a police raid at his residence. The search took place at his current address on Lyndhurst Road in Nottingham, where authorities uncovered a total of 81 videos and photographs depicting exploitative content involving minors.
Among these illicit materials, 45 items were classified at levels four and five, indicating the most severe and disturbing category of child abuse imagery.
The discovery prompted immediate legal action and further investigation into Garford's activities.
Garford had previously admitted to five counts of creating indecent photographs of children, with offenses spanning from February 2005 to October 2007.
His admission led to his appearance at Oxford Crown Court, where he was sentenced on a Tuesday.
The court handed down a three-year supervision order, emphasizing the seriousness of his offenses and the need for ongoing monitoring.
In addition to the supervision order, Garford was mandated to register as a sex offender for a period of five years.
The court also imposed restrictions on his future conduct, including a ban from working with children and a prohibition on accessing the internet without the use of police-approved filtering software.
These measures aim to prevent any potential reoffending and to protect the community from further harm.
