BISHOP AUCKLAND RAPIST WHO MET WOMAN ONLINE JAILED

Dale Foster, also known as Dale Tray, a violent offender from the Bishop Auckland area, has been given a prison sentence following a severe assault case. Foster met the victim online before returning to her home, where he carried out a brutal assault. The attack involved rape, physical violence, and repeated biting, resulting in serious injuries and psychological trauma for the victim. Cleveland Police responded to reports of the incident and launched an investigation. CCTV footage quickly pinpointed Foster, leading to his arrest and subsequent charging. Although he denied the allegations, a jury at Teesside Crown Court found him guilty of two counts of rape and assault occasioning actual bodily harm (ABH). On October 31, Foster received a nine-year prison sentence, with an extra four years on extended license. Authorities also imposed a sexual harm prevention order and a restraining order. Detective Abbie Winter, who led the investigation, expressed satisfaction that justice had been achieved and praised the victim’s courage in reliving her ordeal during court proceedings. Foster’s case underscores the risks associated with such offenders, and police continue to urge victims to report incidents to authorities.
