CRAIG DAVIES OF BARRY SENTENCED FOR RAPE IN CARDIFF
In April 2007, a man from Barry was sentenced to an indefinite prison term after being convicted of raping a 16-year-old girl. The incident unfolded after the two exchanged mobile phone numbers in a pub, where they began communicating through text messages. Following their exchanges, Craig Davies, aged 26, invited the girl to a party, which she agreed to attend.According to court proceedings, the girl consented to having sex with Davies after the party. However, she later changed her mind about continuing the encounter. Prosecutor Peter Davies told Cardiff Crown Court that the two went to a party together, and at the end of the evening, Davies invited her back to his house. They went to his room, where they initially engaged in kissing. The court heard that Davies undressed her, and they had what was described as consensual sex.
