MAN JAILED FOR SEXUALLY ASSAULTING YOUNG GIRL

A 44-year-old man has been jailed for sexually assaulting a young girl.

Craig Bartholomew, of Coxmoor Road, Sutton-in-Ashfield, was sentenced to 16 months in prison after being convicted of one count of sexual assault on a child under the age of 13.

The offence occurred in Sutton-in-Ashfield in June 2018, and the conviction was made at Nottingham Crown Court on July 19.

As well as the jail sentence, Bartholomew was made subject of the sexual harm prevention order and has to sign the sex offenders' register.
