MAN ACCUSED OF RAPING CHILD TWICE WILL GO ON TRIAL

A WORCESTER man will go on trial accused of raping a young girl twice.

Costel Boga, of Avon Road, Worcester, appeared before the city's crown court on Thursday (September 25) accused of two counts of raping a girl under 13 and three counts of assaulting a girl under 13 by touching.

Judge Seanin Gilmore told Boga he would stand trial on June 7, 2027.

Boga was granted conditional bail.

The 47-year-old, speaking through a Romanian interpreter, spoke only to confirm his details.
