EVIL SCOTS BRUTE BATTERED THREE CHILDREN INCLUDING HORRIFIC ATTACKS ON BABY GIRL FROM THE DAY SHE WAS BORN
A violent individual accused of injuring three young children, including a baby girl during his violent outbursts, is facing the possibility of imprisonment.Connor Curley, aged 28, frequently lost his temper and physically assaulted the girls inside a residence in Motherwell, Lanarkshire.
Despite the children being only from one month to two years old, he subjected them to physical harm.
He dropped the infant onto a sofa, ripped medical tape from her head, forcibly lifted her from her cot and placed her back in it, and repeatedly struck her body.
The prosecution’s case stated that the abuse began from the day she was born and continued until she was five months old.
Additionally, he assaulted a two-year-old girl by hitting her, dragging her along the floor, and then tossing her onto a bed.
He also harmed a one-year-old girl by hitting her as well.
All these incidents occurred between September 2021 and November 2023.
Originally from Wishaw, Lanarkshire, Curley denied the allegations and stood trial at Hamilton Sheriff Court.
A jury found him guilty of three assault charges.
Prosecutor Robbie McDougall described Curley's behavior, saying: “The evidence demonstrates he is unable to control himself and when he loses it, he feels it is appropriate to lash out even if the only person around him is a young child.
“All of the evidence is credible and reliable, and I ask you to conclude that overwhelmingly Mr Curley is guilty of these charges.” Defence lawyer Kevin Jarvis urged the jury to acquit Curley, arguing that the evidence did not meet the necessary standard for conviction.
He stated: “You will notice that on Saturday the difference between Haiti’s 15 chances and Scotland’s nine chances is six, and if six of you do not believe Mr Curley is guilty, then you must acquit.” Sheriff John Hamilton KC postponed sentencing until next month to allow for reports and bail conditions, remarking: “These are serious charges, and I need to consider the appropriate sentence and learn more about your background.” Curley had previously gone to trial over these allegations in November, but the case collapsed and was re-heard.
