COLIN TOMLINSON FROM SMALLEY CAUGHT WITH CHILD AND ANIMAL PORNOGRAPHY IN DERBYSHIRE

In August 2016, a disturbing case emerged involving Colin Tomlinson, a resident of Smalley in Derbyshire, who was found to possess a significant collection of indecent images depicting children and animals. The police launched an investigation after receiving credible information indicating that an indecent image of a child had been downloaded from Tomlinson's residence.

Subsequently, law enforcement officers conducted a thorough search of Tomlinson's home, located on Glebe Avenue in Smalley. During the search, they confiscated two USB sticks and a Samsung mobile phone. A detailed examination of these devices revealed a disturbing assortment of illegal content. Among the images recovered, there was one classified as Category A, which is considered the most severe form of child exploitation material. Additionally, there were two images categorized as Category B and a staggering total of 100 images classified as Category C.

Further investigation uncovered 66 images of extreme pornography involving animals, highlighting the disturbing nature of the material found on his devices. The Derby Crown Court heard that Tomlinson, aged 20 at the time, had been engaging in the downloading of indecent images of children since he was 17 years old.
