CODY-ANNE JACKSON SENTENCED FOR HORRIFIC MURDER OF TWO-YEAR-OLD IN FENTON

In a tragic and disturbing case that has shocked the community of Fenton, Staffordshire, Cody-Anne Jackson has been sentenced to a minimum of 16 years in prison for the brutal suffocation of her two-year-old daughter, Macey Hogan. Upon entering the home, officers discovered the lifeless body of young Macey, whose death was confirmed at the scene. Jackson was found nearby with superficial injuries, and she had written a suicide note that revealed her feelings of despair and resentment. The note indicated her emotional turmoil and her perception of her circumstances, which she expressed as a desire to end her life. Jackson had also sent a final message to her ex-partner, Paul Hogan, claiming she was sharing “one last picture and memory of her” with him.

During the court proceedings at Staffordshire Crown Court, it was revealed that Jackson’s actions were premeditated and driven by her emotional state following the end of her relationship with Hogan, which had occurred just a week prior. The judge described her act as “wicked and appalling,” emphasizing that Jackson was not suffering from any mental illness at the time but was instead acting out of self-absorption and emotional distress.
