CLAYTON BALL, HOLIDAY PARK RAPIST FROM BURNHAM, CATCHED AND NOW HAIRLESS AS OF 2014
In October 2007, Clayton Ball, a man convicted of a serious sexual assault at a holiday park in Burnham, was apprehended after fleeing the scene prior to sentencing.
The incident involved Ball, who was 25 at the time, tying up and blindfolding two 15-year-old girls before attacking them at a holiday caravan in 2005.
Ball was found guilty by a jury at Taunton Crown Court on September 24, 2007.
Following his conviction, police launched an extensive manhunt to locate him, issuing a warrant for his arrest.
Detective Constable Mark Fudge from Taunton CID confirmed that Ball was eventually arrested on the Isle of Wight on Sunday, September 30, and was taken into custody.
By February 2014, Clayton Ball was a free man and had shaved off his hair, marking a new chapter since his 12-year prison sentence was imposed after the court conviction.
