CLIVE BUNDY'S SHOCKING RELEASE FROM PRISON IN BANGOR AND WELSH BORDERS: A CHILD ABUSER'S RETURN

In a disturbing development, a convicted paedophile who once inflicted severe abuse on his own daughter has been released from prison and now resides in a quiet community near Bangor, within the Welsh Borders region.

The individual, formerly known as Clive Bundy and now going by Claire Fox after a gender transition undertaken during incarceration, has sparked outrage among local residents and the victim’s family.

Fox, aged 61, served only seven years of a 15-year sentence for the heinous crimes committed against his daughter, Ceri-Lee Galvin.

The crimes included sexual abuse spanning nine years from when she was just eight years old, as well as sharing explicit images of her with online perverts.

Despite the severity of his offenses, Fox was released into a modest market town on the Welsh Borders at the beginning of June, where he was given a new start in a sheltered accommodation block for older adults.

Neighbours, who were unaware of Fox’s sordid past, were told by him that he was an electrician from Bangor.

They assisted him in settling into his new environment, helping to furnish his flat with furniture, a television, a printer, a washing machine, and crockery.

These items were provided by SSAFA, a charity supporting armed forces personnel, as Fox had previously served in the Territorial Army in his twenties.

Fox’s release has caused profound distress to his daughter, Ceri-Lee Galvin, who has publicly spoken out despite her desire for privacy.

She, now 24 and training as a paramedic, expressed her outrage and disbelief at her father’s release and his apparent new identity.

She stated, “My father is not a woman and I refuse to recognise him as such.

He changed his gender in prison to make his life there easier.” Galvin further criticized Fox’s current situation, asserting that he is already engaging in manipulative behavior and that his gender transition has made him more dangerous, especially given his history of attraction to children.

“The fact he is now dressed as a woman makes him more dangerous as young girls are his thing and he has never shown any remorse,” she said.

She emphasized that her father has not participated in any sexual offender rehabilitation programs, has shown no remorse for his past actions, and openly admits to finding children attractive.

She expressed concern over the lack of community safeguards, noting that no notifications have been made to local schools, and Fox has no electronic tagging or curfew.

Instead, he has been provided with a home, furniture, and basic necessities without restrictions.

Galvin clarified her stance on gender transition, stating, “I am in no way transphobic and I feel incredibly sorry for people who genuinely need to transition.

They face stigma and worse because of cases like this.

But it should just not be an option for those convicted of sexual offences against children to suddenly say that they want to be a woman.” She revealed that Fox’s gender transition occurred at the end of 2021, when he was nearly 60 years old.

This was after a serious altercation with a fellow prisoner that prevented his transfer to an open prison.

She questioned the motives behind the transition, noting that Fox had been a traditionally macho man, father to eight children, and had never previously expressed gender dysphoria.

“Now he is being indulged by everyone,” she added, criticizing the prison service for providing him with makeup and women’s clothing, and a charity for the armed forces for supplying additional items.

This case has ignited a debate about the management and supervision of convicted sex offenders, especially those who undergo gender transition while incarcerated.

The community remains deeply concerned about the safety of children and the adequacy of measures in place to monitor individuals like Fox, who have a history of predatory behavior.
