CHRISTOPHER WEAR AND SHOCKING CHILD SEX OFFENSES IN WATERLOOVILLE AND DALTON

A convicted sex offender named Christopher Wear is preparing to face a sentencing hearing at Preston Crown Court after admitting to violating a court-imposed order designed to prevent further harm.

Wear, aged 34 and residing on Longwood Avenue in Waterlooville, Hampshire, was subjected to a sexual harm prevention order in 2017 following his admission to creating indecent images of children. This order was meant to restrict his access to certain online activities to protect minors from potential exploitation.

Despite this legal restriction, Wear was found to have deliberately breached the terms of the order. The charges against him include the use of social networking platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram — all of which he had been explicitly forbidden from accessing under the terms of the prevention order. Additionally, Wear was found in possession of an internet-enabled iPhone, which was also in violation of the restrictions placed upon him.

The breaches occurred on February 12 in Dalton, a location where police and court officials gathered to hear the case. The South Cumbria Magistrates' Court was informed of these violations, and Wear pleaded guilty to two charges of breaching the court order.

He appeared before the court via a video link from his home in Waterlooville, Hampshire, and was granted bail which will carry through until his sentencing. The final hearing is scheduled for February 12 at Preston Crown Court, where Wear will face justice for his repeated breaches.

This case traces back to a series of serious offenses in which Wear first admitted to creating three counts of indecent images of children between September 2009 and November 2016, along with a count of possession of such images. These initial crimes led to the 2017 issuance of the sexual harm prevention order, highlighting the severity of his actions and the continued risk he posed.

The upcoming sentencing hearing will determine the consequences Wear will face for these violations. Authorities and community members await the court’s decision, which will reflect both the seriousness of his previous offenses and his recent violations of court restrictions designed to prevent further harm to minors.
