SWINDON OFFENDER SENTENCED IN STRING OF CRIMES INCLUDING STALKING AND DRUG DEALING
These are some of the latest cases to be heard at Swindon Crown Court in the past week.One notable case involves 43-year-old Christopher McNeil of Edencroft, Highworth.He has been sentenced to jail for stalking a woman on multiple occasions.
The court heard that between April 1 and April 21, McNeil followed and harassed the woman, visiting her workplace, her residence, and making repeated calls to her, thereby inciting fear of violence.
Most seriously, he intentionally strangled her on April 20.
As a result, McNeil was sentenced to two years and eight months in prison and a restraining order was imposed banning him from having any contact with the victim.Other recent cases include drug possession, with Simphiwe Tibe of Hebden Close being sentenced to 54 months for possessing crack cocaine, heroin, and cash; and Timothy Trille from Grove Hill, Highworth, who received a community order for attempting to communicate sexually with a decoy posing as a 13-year-old girl, involving lewd messages and an explicit image.
Louise Mclean and her son Nico from Redland, Chippenham, were also sentenced for drug dealing.
Nico received a suspended 24-month imprisonment, while Louise received a 22-month suspended sentence.
Ryan Hammond from Penhill Drive was sentenced to over three years for dealing crack and heroin, especially while on license.
