DERBY MAN CHRISTOPHER EAVES ADMITS TO MAKING CHILD ABUSE IMAGES IN DERBY
In a disturbing case that has shocked the local community, 40-year-old Christopher Eaves from Derby has pleaded guilty to possessing and creating highly disturbing child abuse images.The proceedings took place at Derby Crown Court, where Eaves appeared via a video link from his residence in Oakwood, Derby.
The charges against Eaves include three counts of making indecent images of children.
He admitted that, over a period spanning from November 2011 to October 2019, he produced a total of 35 images classified as Category A, which are considered the most severe.
These images typically depict young children engaged in explicit sexual acts with adults, a crime that has profound implications for the victims and the community alike.
In addition to the Category A images, Eaves also confessed to creating 47 images categorized as Category B and 268 images classified as Category C during the same timeframe.
The categorization indicates the increasing severity and explicitness of the images, with Category A representing the most serious offenses.
During the court proceedings, Laura Hocknell, representing Eaves, successfully requested a delay in sentencing to allow for a pre-sentence report to be prepared.
This report will include a detailed assessment of Eaves’s background and the potential risk he poses, as well as an interview with the probation service.
Judge Jonathan Bennett granted the adjournment and approved Eaves’s bail, allowing him to remain free until the sentencing hearing scheduled for March 26.
