CHRISTIAN WILLIAMSON: HULL SEX OFFENDER BACK IN JAIL AFTER SPENDING TWO HOURS WITH 5-YEAR-OLD GIRL IN LINCOLNSHIRE
In a disturbing case that has once again highlighted the dangers posed by convicted sex offenders, Christian Williamson, a 32-year-old man from Hull, has been returned to prison following a reckless visit to Lincolnshire where he spent two hours in the company of a young girl and her family. The incident took place at the girl’s home in Spalding, Lincolnshire, where Williamson traveled with the apparent intention of establishing a relationship with an 18-year-old woman he had been communicating with via WhatsApp.r> Williamson’s visit was arranged through a WhatsApp group called ‘Sexy Babes,’ which he had created and used to connect with multiple women, including the 18-year-old and her older sister.
On December 19, he arrived at their residence in Spalding, where he was welcomed by the girl’s parents and her siblings, including the five-year-old girl.
Despite the serious restrictions placed upon him as a registered sex offender, Williamson failed to disclose his status or the conditions of his sexual harm prevention order (SHPO) to the family.r> During his two-hour stay, Williamson engaged in inappropriate behavior with the young girl.
Court proceedings revealed that he was playing with her, lifting her up, and allowing her to sit on his lap throughout his visit.
The court was told that he did not inform anyone present about the restrictions imposed by his SHPO, which included wearing a buddy tag and other conditions designed to monitor and restrict his movements.r> Williamson’s criminal history is extensive and troubling.
In 2012, authorities sought a sexual offences prevention order against him after he continued to send messages to young girls via social media platforms.
His past convictions include a conviction for raping a teenage girl in 2005, which resulted in a three-year prison sentence.
Additionally, he has breached his SHPO on two occasions within two years of its issuance, leading to an 18-month sentence after police discovered he had 700 messages on his phone requesting to meet young girls.r> Further complicating his criminal record, Williamson was convicted of grooming a 14-year-old girl, sending her WhatsApp messages that incited sexual activity.
His actions prompted the court to impose an extended sentence, reflecting the severity of his repeated offenses.r> Despite the restrictions of his SHPO, which mandated him to wear a buddy tag whenever leaving his home, Williamson’s behavior raised serious concerns among law enforcement officers.
When questioned about his presence in Spalding, Williamson became aggressive, threatening to remove his buddy tag to prevent authorities from tracking his movements.
His conduct prompted police to take him back to court for breaching the order and for threatening property damage.r> In sentencing, Judge Mark Bury emphasized the gravity of Williamson’s violations.
He was sentenced to eight months in prison for breaching the SHPO and for threatening to damage property.
The court also made it clear that Williamson would be required to continue adhering to the conditions of his SHPO upon release from prison, including wearing the buddy tag and complying with monitoring restrictions.
This case underscores the ongoing risks associated with individuals like Williamson and the importance of strict enforcement of protective orders to safeguard vulnerable members of the community.
