CHARLES PLUCK SENTENCED IN MANSFIELD FOR CHILD SEX OFFENCES

A man identified as Charles Pluck has been handed a significant prison sentence after being found guilty of serious child sexual offences that occurred in the Mansfield area. The 42-year-old, originally from Bo’ness, Scotland, faced justice in connection with multiple heinous crimes committed during the 1990s. The case came to light following a thorough investigation conducted by Nottinghamshire Police's public protection unit, which uncovered disturbing details linking Pluck to the offences.

On Thursday, November 7, at Nottingham Crown Court, Pluck was sentenced to nine years behind bars after a jury convicted him on two counts of rape and one count of indecency with a child. The trial, which commenced on Monday, November 4, lasted four days and involved detailed testimonies from survivors and evidence presented by the prosecution. The court's decision also included the imposition of a lifelong sexual harm prevention order. This order is designed to monitor and restrict any future contact Pluck might have with children under the age of 16, aiming to prevent any potential reoffending and to safeguard vulnerable minors.
