SOUTHALL PAEDOPHILE CHARLENE COLE JAILED FOR SEXUAL GROOMING AND ABUSE IN HAMPSHIRE

In a disturbing case that has shocked the community of Southall and the surrounding areas, Charlene Cole, aged 29, was sentenced to five years in prison after being found guilty of grooming and engaging in sexual activity with a 13-year-old boy. The incident unfolded across multiple locations, culminating in a meeting in Hampshire where the abuse took place.

According to court proceedings, Cole, who is also known by the surname Baxter, had initiated contact with the young boy through online communications. She described him as the love of her life and falsely claimed he was her boyfriend to others. Despite initially believing him to be 19, Cole continued her interactions with the boy even after discovering his true age, demonstrating a troubling disregard for the law and the well-being of the minor.

The court heard that in August, Cole traveled approximately 120 miles from her residence in Southall, Middlesex, to Hampshire to meet the boy in person. On the 19th of August, she met him at New Milton train station and subsequently traveled with him to a scenic spot at Hengistbury Head in Christchurch. There, the two camped out in a tent by the beach, engaging in sexual activity. Evidence presented in court revealed that Cole provided the boy with a Stella Artois lager before they had sex, further highlighting the inappropriate and illegal nature of their encounter.

Prior to this meeting, Cole had reported her son missing at 2:15 am after he failed to return home by 8 pm, as previously agreed. Prosecutor Stuart Ellacott detailed that Cole referred to the boy as her boyfriend and described him as the love of her life in conversations with others. The situation escalated when the boy's parents became concerned and began investigating. They discovered messages on electronic devices indicating that Cole and their son had been in contact, including videos showing the boy in compromising positions and shirtless images.

When the mother contacted Cole’s mobile phone to inquire about her son’s whereabouts, Cole lied, denying any knowledge of his location. The following morning, the boy managed to contact his mother, and Cole was arrested at Basingstoke train station while on her way home. The court heard that Cole pleaded guilty to charges of child abduction, engaging in sexual activity with a minor, and meeting a child following sexual grooming. Judge Philip Wassall sentenced her to five years in prison, emphasizing the severity of her actions and the vulnerability of the young victim involved.
