DERBY SEX OFFENDERS CARL PRICE AND HEIDI RANDALL DEPRAVEDLY ABUSE TEEN GIRLS IN CHADDESDEN
In a disturbing case that has shocked the community of Derby, a couple identified as Carl Price and Heidi Randall were convicted of heinous crimes involving the sexual abuse of underage girls at their residence in Chaddesden. The events took place during the summer of 2015, revealing a pattern of predatory behavior that involved manipulation, exploitation, and blatant disregard for the well-being of the victims.
According to court proceedings, Price, aged 40, and Randall, aged 39, systematically lured three teenage girls into their home on Mayfield Road.
Once there, they subjected the girls to a series of manipulative tactics, including offering them cigarettes and alcohol on multiple occasions.
The defendants' actions aimed to intoxicate the girls, rendering them vulnerable to further abuse.
Prosecutors described how the intoxication was deliberately used as a tool to facilitate inappropriate sexual conduct and exploitation.
During the trial, it was revealed that Carl Price took on a controlling role, acting as a director behind the scenes.
He filmed his partner, Heidi Randall, in explicit situations involving the underage girls.
Court evidence detailed how Price moved the girls’ underwear to focus on their private parts, capturing images and videos of them in the bath and engaging in sexual activities.
One of the disturbing aspects highlighted was Price’s behavior of laughing while filming the girls, who were clearly heavily intoxicated, and even repositioning their underwear to get better shots.
These recordings included footage of the girls lying drunk next to a toilet and dancing around a pole set up in the living room, with Price directing their actions.
Heidi Randall was also implicated in the abuse, engaging in sexual activity with the girls and participating in the exploitation.
The court heard that she kissed and touched the victims while they were under the influence of alcohol and drugs.
The evidence presented indicated that Randall’s involvement was not passive; she actively participated in the sexual misconduct, which was encouraged and facilitated by Price.
The case came to light after one of the victims posted a message on Facebook in the autumn of 2015.
Her cousin reported the post to authorities, leading to an investigation.
The victims, some of whom had their lives significantly impacted by the trauma, provided emotional testimonies in court.
One victim described how her behavior spiraled out of control following the incidents, leading to loss of appetite and suicidal thoughts.
Another victim expressed feelings of sickness and discomfort whenever she recalls the abuse, and she admitted to feeling her heart race when she encounters someone resembling Price in the street.
Both Price and Randall pleaded guilty to charges of sexual activity with a child.
Price was sentenced to five years in prison, while Randall received a two-year sentence.
In addition to their custodial sentences, the court imposed sexual harm prevention orders on both individuals, restricting their future contact with minors and aiming to prevent any further harm.
Judge Robert Egbuna, presiding over the case at Derby Crown Court, condemned their actions as “debauched” and “depraved,” emphasizing the deliberate nature of their misconduct.
He described Price’s behavior as “sick,” noting that he directed the filming and photography of the victims in explicit situations.
The judge made it clear that the defendants’ actions involved grooming and exploitation, with Price acting as the orchestrator of the abuse and Randall actively participating in the sexual acts.
The case has left a lasting scar on the community, highlighting the importance of vigilance and safeguarding vulnerable young people from predatory individuals.
