CAINE EMMINGHAM AND SHOCKING SEXUAL OFFENCES IN NORTHAMPTONSHIRE
A man named Caine Emmingham has been sentenced to prison after subjecting a teenage girl to a series of disturbing sexual assaults. The incidents occurred over several months in 2022 and involved multiple locations within Northamptonshire, including an address in the Mansfield area and his vehicle.
The disturbing case came to light when the young victim confided in her mother about the abuse she had endured.
This disclosure prompted her mother to contact Nottinghamshire Police, leading to a thorough investigation into the allegations.
Authorities quickly identified Emmingham as the suspect, and he was subsequently arrested.
Despite his arrest, Emmingham maintained his innocence, denying all charges brought against him.
The investigation culminated in a trial held at Nottingham Crown Court.
During the proceedings, the jury found Emmingham guilty of several serious offences.
These included three counts of engaging in sexual activity with a child, one count of inciting a child to engage in sexual activity, one count of causing a child to view sexual material, and one count of engaging in sexual activity in the presence of a child.
However, he was acquitted of two other charges that had been brought against him.
Caine Emmingham, who resides at Lake Drive, Weldon, Corby, appeared in court on Friday, October 6.
The judge sentenced him to a total of four years in prison.
In addition to his incarceration, Emmingham was subjected to a restraining order and a sexual harm prevention order.
These legal measures are designed to severely restrict his activities and interactions once he is released from prison, aiming to prevent any further harm.
Detective Constable Richard Howe of Nottinghamshire Police commented on the case, stating, “Emmingham groomed this girl over many months before committing a series of extremely serious sexual offences against her.
He was aware of his victim’s age and knew very well that what he was doing was illegal.
I am pleased the law has now caught up with him and hope this sentence serves as a warning to others about the consequences of committing sexual offences against children.”
