OFFENDER CONVICTED AFTER ASSAULT AND ABUSIVE BEHAVIOUR IN DUNDEE PUB
A man involved in a sexual assault incident at a Dundee pub was ordered to undergo alcohol counselling.Bruce Leslie was accused of unlawfully touching another man’s private parts at The Pillars bar located on Crichton Street on April 11, 2025.
During the same event, Leslie, aged 45 and residing in Causewayend, displayed aggressive behavior by making insulting comments, shouting, cursing, issuing threats of violence, acting confrontational, and trying multiple times to re-enter the establishment.
Although Leslie denied the two charges, he was convicted after a trial at Dundee Sheriff Court.
Sheriff George Way agreed with the recommendation from social workers to impose supervision on Leslie, primarily emphasizing alcohol-related treatment.
He stated: “I distinctly remember the case and especially the CCTV footage.
I am willing to acknowledge that he is a first-time offender, and considering all circumstances, alcohol was central to the incident.” Leslie’s supervision period, alongside his nine-month registration on the sex offenders register, has been mandated by the court.
