BRUCE ADAMSON FROM GLENROTHES ATTACKS PROSTITUTE NEAR DUNDEE DOCKS

A disturbing incident unfolded involving a lorry driver who assaulted a woman after an encounter in a red-light district near Dundee's docks. Bruce Adamson, aged 38 and hailing from Glenrothes in Fife, paid a 24-year-old sex worker £25 for oral sex. The woman, who was working the streets in that area, testified during a trial at the High Court in Edinburgh that the situation quickly escalated beyond her initial agreement.

According to her account, Adamson demanded full sexual intercourse after the oral act, and when she resisted, he forcibly ripped off her pants. A physical struggle ensued inside the cab as he attempted to force her into non-consensual sex. The woman managed to escape from the vehicle by claiming she needed to use the toilet, which gave her the opportunity to get away from the attacker.

Bruce Adamson was subsequently found guilty of assault with intent to rape. The court heard the details of the assault, which has caused significant distress to the victim. He is scheduled to be sentenced next month, with the court likely to consider the severity of his actions and the impact on the victim in determining his punishment.
