June 2000 Pervert jailed for four months Brian Fox, 62, a twice-divorced father of four adult children was jailed for four months after admitting five charges of taking indecent pictures of a child under 16. The grandfather’s activities came to light when an eight-year-old returned from his home wearing make-up. Her mother alerted police who found explicit photos of another slightly older child and pictures of the eight-year-old wearing adult underwear, high heels and make-up at his home in Heathfield Rise, Ruislip. Prosecutor Karl Scholz told Isleworth Crown Court last Friday that the charges related to photographs of a ‘girl probably aged about 10 years’. He said the defendant came to know the eight-year-old’s family through a friend and he started taking the child out. The mother became concerned about the girl’s mood. Police from the Northwood Child Protection Team went to Fox’s home on September 6 last year. ‘His home was searched and items of female underwear and lingerie, a g-string, dresses some pairs of women’s shoes and a white rubber Halloween-type mask were found,’ said Mr Scholz. Cameras were seized and film developed showing the eight-year-old dressed and made-up and also one showing the defendant in his underwear. Fox admitted being the photographer. Jailing him, Judge Andrew McDowall said ‘The court is always concerned to protect children and it seems quite plain that you have abused children. It seems to me a prison sentence there must be.’ Fox must register under the Sex Offenders’ Act for seven years.
