An evil, vile and repulsive stepdad convicted of abusing his teenage stepdaughter has received a nine-year prison sentence.
Brett Connell, residing on Clare Way in Sevenoaks, was handed down his sentence at Maidstone Crown Court earlier today (April 24).
The victim, 15-year-old Georgia Walsh, tragically took her own life after courageously reporting the abuse to authorities.
She was subjected to repeated molestation by Connell during her early teens, specifically between the ages of 13 and 14.
On March 17, 2017, Georgia ended her life at Dunton Green railway station by stepping in front of a train, leaving her coat behind and a suicide note nearby.

💔 "I can't do this anymore.
The stress from the current situation is too much to handle.
24/7 I feel guilty because of what happened.
"Make sure that bastard rots in Hell for what he has done.
"Mum, please call Dad (her natural father).
Tell him everything but let him know how much I loved him.
"I miss our walks at the park and I miss him.
I love you Dad." 💔 Georgia Walsh’s family left the courtroom in tears after the verdict was handed down.
In total Connell faced 16 charges, all of which he pleaded not guilty.
Only charges one to five related to Georgia and the 11 outstanding charges were unrelated to her case.
With a 10-2 majority, the jury found Connell guilty of 13 of these charges, and not guilty of the other three.
He was sentenced to five years for his offences against Georgia and a further four years for the other charges.
