BRADLEY HOLLOWAY AND SHOCKING RAPE CASE IN READING
Police authorities have publicly circulated an image of Bradley Holloway, a man who was convicted of heinous crimes committed against a young girl, including the sexual assault of a six-year-old victim during his teenage years.Holloway, who resides in Rupert Square, Reading, was handed a substantial prison sentence following his conviction for two counts of rape, which he committed between the ages of 13 and 15.
The court proceedings culminated in December when Holloway was found guilty of the charges.
This week, at Reading Crown Court, he was formally sentenced to a total of six years in prison.
The sentencing came after the victim, who has chosen to remain anonymous for legal reasons, recounted the traumatic impact of Holloway’s actions.
She explained that she continues to suffer from post-traumatic stress disorder, with difficulties sleeping often requiring her to sleep with the lights on as a result of the psychological scars left by Holloway’s abuse.
During the trial, it was revealed that Holloway’s sexual offences were committed on a weekly basis, specifically every Sunday.
The victim testified that Holloway would entice her by offering to buy her toys if she didn’t disclose his crimes to anyone.
Such manipulative tactics aimed to silence the young girl and maintain his secret for as long as possible.
Judge Hassan Khan, presiding over the case, recognized the severity of the crimes and imposed sentences accordingly.
Holloway received six years' imprisonment for one count of rape.
An identical six-year term was also handed down for the second count, with both sentences to run concurrently.
This means Holloway will serve a minimum of half of his prison term before becoming eligible for release on licence, subject to good behavior and other considerations.
Furthermore, a sexual harm prevention order has been issued against Holloway to restrict his activities and protect the community from potential further offences.
Despite his conviction and sentencing, Holloway is reportedly in the early stages of preparing an appeal against his conviction, indicating ongoing legal disputes regarding the case.
