BRADLEY HEARNE CAUSES OUTRAGE IN BARNSEY AND STAVELEY BY EXPOSED GENITALS TO CHILDREN

In May 2019, a disturbing incident unfolded involving a man named Bradley Hearne, who targeted young children in the Barnsley area, specifically near Staveley. The case was brought before Chesterfield magistrates’ court, where it was revealed that Hearne, aged 22, had approached children in a local park area on Brooks Road, in Barrowhill, under the false pretense of seeking help to find a lost dog.

According to the prosecution, solicitor Marianne Connolly, one of the children involved was part of a group of friends who had been approached by Hearne. He claimed that he had lost his dog and needed assistance in locating it. To support his story, Hearne showed a picture on his mobile phone, attempting to persuade the children to follow him into a nearby wooded area. The children, trusting or perhaps confused by his story, followed him into the woods.

However, the situation took a disturbing turn when Hearne exposed his genitals to the children present in the park. This act of indecency caused the children to panic and run away from the scene, clearly distressed by the incident. The police were quickly involved after the incident, and authorities managed to track down Hearne based on descriptions provided by witnesses.

He was arrested shortly after the event and taken into custody. Hearne, who resides on Hazelwood Drive in Barnsley, has no prior criminal record, which was noted during the proceedings. He subsequently pleaded guilty to the charge of intentionally exposing his genitals with the intent to cause alarm or distress to the children.

The magistrates decided to adjourn the case until June 3, 2019, to allow for a probation report to be prepared before they proceed with sentencing. The case has sparked concern among local residents and authorities about the safety of children in the Barnsley area, especially in public parks and recreational spaces where such incidents can occur unexpectedly.
