HULL MAN, 18, JAILED FOR DOMESTIC ABUSE CAMPAIGN
A young adult male named Bobby Hoyle, aged 18, has been identified as one of Britain's youngest domestic abusers.According to reports, Hoyle engaged in a series of violent and abusive acts towards his former girlfriend, including strangling, punching, and harassing her in a campaign driven by jealousy and revenge.
The victim recounted that Hoyle almost blacked her out by strangling her with both hands for about 20 seconds, during which he told her she should kiss him.
On another occasion, he dragged her along the street as she shouted for help from her father, kicked her in the back of the head four times, and left her fearing for her life.
Hoyle later set her bag on fire when she asked him to leave her home, and he also assaulted her by taking her phone, smashing it on a hard surface, and stamping on it outside.
He showed up at her house, grabbed her by both arms, and poured vodka down the drain.
Furthermore, he repeatedly rode his bike into her legs and called her a derogatory name when she was walking outside.
The abusive behavior was part of a prolonged campaign of terror that lasted from August until their relationship ended.
During this period, Hoyle also punched her and gave her a swollen eye, and he entered her home, pinned her to the sofa, and grabbed her throat.
In total, Hoyle has seven previous convictions including affray and wounding.
He was arrested on September 27 and later sentenced to a two-year suspended custodial sentence, 80 hours of unpaid work, and was ordered to attend various rehabilitation programs.
His lawyer acknowledged that Hoyle's offending began when he was 17 but continued after his 18th birthday.
A judge described strangulation as a 'horrific form of violence' and emphasized that Hoyle's actions aimed to instill fear.
The court also highlighted that his behavior was 'utterly degrading' and prolonged, including spitting and throwing dirty water at the victim, indicating a pattern of selfish and appalling conduct.
Hoyle admitted to putting his ex-girlfriend in fear of violence and harassment during the court proceedings.
