BILLY CHARLTON JAILED IN GATESHEAD FOR DISTRIBUTING INDECENT IMAGE OF A CHILD
Billy Charlton, a race hate sex offender from Gateshead, has been sentenced to three years in prison for sharing a video featuring a young boy aged between 10 and 14.The punishment also includes a lifelong requirement to register as a sex offender.
Charlton, 57, formerly of Seaham, County Durham, and now residing on Sidmouth Road, Bensham, was found guilty of sending an indecent image to 47 individuals via WhatsApp.
The image involved a young boy and an animal, and although the court clarified that he is not alleged to be a paedophile or to have derived sexual pleasure from the material, prosecutors described his actions as driven by a "sick sense of humour." Prosecutor Ian West commented in court: "It's not suggested he is a paedophile or gained sexual gratification from watching it or forwarding it.
He just has, it seems, a sick sense of humour." This conviction follows a history of similar misconduct.
In 2019, Charlton received a 21-month prison sentence for race hate offences.
During that trial, he shouted at jurors, "I hope your daughters don't get raped." His earlier criminal record includes spreading inflammatory falsehoods during public speeches, where he masked racist and hateful rhetoric as efforts to protect women and children from sexual assault.
He used these platforms to falsely accuse immigrants, Asians, Black people, and the police of various crimes, including rape, kidnapping, and drugging, thus fanning racial hatred.
The judge at that time condemned him for "conflating all immigrants with rapes and sexual offending, thus peddling racist hatred based around falsehoods" and described him as a bully.
