ABINGDON: PUBLIC IMAGE RELEASED OF JAILED SEX OFFENDER BENJAMIN ROBINSON
Police have identified and publicly released an image of Benjamin Robinson, a 52-year-old male from Ock Street, Abingdon.
He has been convicted for multiple breaches of a sexual harm prevention order, with his sentencing held at Oxford Crown Court on Tuesday, August 5.
Robinson pleaded guilty to three separate breaches of the order.
Court proceedings revealed that between May 19 and June 23, he downloaded an application called Kik, deleted chat histories on his Kik account, and used an alias 'ukdad73' while online.
He was sentenced to two years in prison and was subjected to a sexual harm prevention order that will last for ten years.
Additionally, Robinson has been ordered to be registered as a sex offender for a decade, and a deprivation order was placed on his iPhone.
He was also required to pay a victim surcharge of £187.
His existing community order was revoked, and the breach of the sexual harm prevention order, originally imposed in 2023, involved him chatting with individuals purportedly 'children' using social media usernames.
This behavior had previously led him before the courts in 2019.
