BENJAMIN HODSON FROM CARLISLE ADMITS TO VIEWING OVER 60 CHILD INDECENT IMAGES AND POSSESSING EXTREME PORNOGRAPHY
In a case that has shocked the local community of Carlisle, Benjamin Thomas Hodson, a 23-year-old resident of Stainton Gardens in the Etterby area, has pleaded guilty to multiple serious charges related to the possession and viewing of indecent images involving children. The offences, which occurred between January 1 and June 4 of the previous year, include the downloading and viewing of more than 60 images classified across various categories of indecency.
Specifically, Hodson admitted to possessing 12 images categorized as Category B, 39 images in Category A, and 24 images classified as Category C.
These images depicted indecent content involving minors, and the case highlights the disturbing extent of his activities during that period.
The court also heard that on June 4, he was found in possession of a highly disturbing extreme pornographic image that involved a serious sex act between a dog and a human, an act that is considered both illegal and morally reprehensible.
The case has been forwarded to Carlisle Crown Court for sentencing, where a judge will determine the appropriate punishment for Hodson’s actions.
In addition to the charges related to indecent images, Hodson also admitted to driving without insurance on January 21.
As a result, he received six penalty points on his driving record, was fined £200, and ordered to pay £85 in legal costs along with a £32 victim surcharge.
Furthermore, Hodson has been disqualified from driving for a period of six months as part of his penalties.
The case underscores the ongoing efforts by law enforcement to combat the distribution and possession of illegal and harmful material, especially involving minors and extreme content.
The community awaits the sentencing hearing, which will determine the final consequences for Hodson’s actions.
