LISKEARD MAN PLEADS GUILTY TO SEX OFFENCES, COURT HEARS
Benjamin Fisher, aged 21 and residing on Brisbane Terrace in Liskeard, appeared in Truro Crown Court to face six sexual offence charges related to a girl.
This is a correction from the previous report, which incorrectly stated nine charges.
Fisher contested three counts of raping a 14-year-old girl in Looe in 2021, but was ultimately acquitted of all charges.
He also admitted to three separate offences involving sexual activity with a girl, where he was 17 and believed she was at least 16, but not necessarily over that age.
His Honour Judge James Adkin told Fisher that had he committed the offences while being over the age of 18 he would have looked at a lengthy prison sentence.
"You were a child yourself when you committed these offences," he told him.
He sentenced Fisher to a 12-month community order and mental health requirement order with 12 sessions as well as a four-month curfew to reside at his home address.
