PERTH MAN FINED FOR DOMESTIC ASSAULT AFTER 999 CALL
An abusive boyfriend named Bartlomiej Fijalkowski was arrested after he called 999 to report being attacked by his partner.
Fiscal depute Joanne Ritchie outlined that both parties were sober and had not been drinking when the argument, which escalated to physical violence, occurred at their home in Cross Street, Perth.
The incident involved Fijalkowski seizing his partner’s hair and struggling with her for hours.
Despite the turmoil, it was the accused who dialled 999, as his partner was home alone when officers arrived.
Fijalkowski admitted to a charge of assaulting his partner by seizing her hair and struggling with her on September 2, 2021.
The court heard he is in full-time employment and had not responded to her texts, causing the argument.
His solicitor stated that his partner might have returned to Poland.
Sheriff Francis Gill fined him £450 and issued a non-harassment order for 12 months.
