A FUGITIVE MIGRANT WHO SEXUALLY ASSAULTED A GIRL IN GERMANY CLASHES WITH DEPORTATION PLANS
Azizadeen Alsheikh Suliman, 31, who left Syria after being shot in the foot, was convicted of sexually assaulting a 15-year-old girl following an alcohol-fuelled night out in Osnabrück, Germany, in 2022.The court documents detail that he asked her for a light for his cigarette, swapped Instagram accounts, touched her bare stomach beneath her crop top, and gave her cannabis.
He then tried to kiss her, and when she rejected him, he stood in her way, preventing her pass, and inappropriately touched her above her clothing on her chest and bottom, attempting to pull down her trousers.
Despite her resistance, he indecently touched her and exposed himself.
Suliman had previously lived in Germany for seven years, during which he was convicted of driving without a licence.
After his sentence was reactivated due to unpaid fines, he fled to Britain claiming asylum.
He was given taxpayer-funded accommodation at a hotel in Hale, Greater Manchester, where he was detained in October 2025 under a European Arrest Warrant.
His explanation that tribal conflicts in Syria posed a risk to his life was dismissed by German authorities.
He faces deportation, but lawyers argue his right to a family life under Article 8 of the European Convention on Human Rights could be breached if sent back.
He moved to Germany at 21 after being shot in Syria, seeking asylum, and had employment as a laborer and kitchen assistant before his conviction related to the sex assault.
Notably, he once lied about his name’s spelling upon arrival in the UK, blaming an interpreter.
A court hearing is pending to decide whether deportation will proceed.
