GALASHIELS MAN REMANDED IN CUSTODY OVER SEXUAL ACTIVITY CHARGES

A GALASHIELS man accused of attempt­ing to engage in sexual activ­ity with an under­age teen­ager will remain locked up until his trial next month.

Ash­ley Scott, 24 and of no fixed abode, is also charged with attempt­ing to send a sexual com­mu­nic­a­tion to the girl who is under 18 years of age.

He main­tained his pleas of not guilty when the case called as an inter­me­di­ate diet at Selkirk Sher­iff Court where he was remanded in cus­tody until the trial sched­uled for July 21.

Scott has been on remand since the case first called in court in March.
