ARRON BLYTHE SHOCKS PERTH WITH SEXUAL ASSAULT AT CLUB ONE

A former soldier from Perth has been convicted of sexually assaulting a woman during a night out at the popular nightclub, Club One, located in the heart of Perth city. The incident took place in October of the previous year, and the court proceedings have brought significant attention to issues of personal safety and conduct within the nightlife scene.

Arron Blythe, aged 37, was found guilty by the Perth Sheriff Court after a trial that revealed disturbing details of his actions. Despite his continued denial of the sexual assault, the court determined that the evidence presented was sufficient to convict him of the charges. In addition to the assault, Blythe was also convicted of making inappropriate and derogatory remarks to two female police officers who responded to the incident.

The court heard that on October 20, Blythe forcibly touched the victim’s vagina and buttocks over her clothing without her consent. The court documents detailed that his actions were deliberate and carried out in a manner that caused the victim distress and humiliation. The incident occurred during a night when Blythe was out at Club One, a well-known nightlife venue in Perth, which attracts a diverse crowd from across the city.

Furthermore, the court found that Blythe engaged in indecent communication with two female police officers. The officers reported that Blythe made sexual and derogatory remarks to them, actions that appeared to be intended either for his own sexual gratification or to humiliate, distress, or alarm the officers. Such behavior was deemed highly inappropriate and a serious breach of conduct.

In addition to these charges, Blythe, who resides on Logie Crescent in Perth, was also convicted of refusing to identify himself to police officers when asked, failing to provide his name during the investigation. This refusal was viewed as an attempt to obstruct justice and further demonstrated a pattern of disrespect towards law enforcement authorities.

Following his conviction, the court sentenced Blythe to a series of restrictions aimed at monitoring his behavior. He was ordered to wear an electronic monitoring tag and to remain at his residence every night for a period of one year. These measures are intended to prevent any further incidents and to ensure that Blythe remains under supervision during the probation period. The court emphasized that the nature of the offenses warranted a custodial sentence, but opted for these restrictions as part of his sentencing.

The case has sparked discussions within the Perth community about safety and accountability, especially in nightlife venues. It also highlights the importance of respecting personal boundaries and the serious consequences of violating them. The court’s decision underscores the need for vigilance and proper conduct in public spaces, particularly for individuals in positions of authority or with a history of disciplined service, such as Blythe’s background as a former soldier.
