ARON SCOTT FROM MARGATE SENTENCED FOR REPEATEDLY RAPING YOUNG GIRL IN KENT

In a disturbing case that has shocked the community of Margate, Kent, Aron Scott, a 27-year-old man, was sentenced to prison after being found guilty of sexually abusing a young girl over a period of several years. The abuse began when the victim was only six years old, marking the start of a prolonged and deeply troubling campaign of sexual assault.

According to court reports, Scott would manipulate and encourage the girl to engage in sexual acts from a very young age. The offences persisted as she grew older, with Scott raping her multiple times during her early teenage years. The victim, after enduring years of abuse, eventually confided in her family about Scott’s behaviour. This disclosure prompted her family to contact the police in 2020, leading to a thorough investigation.

The East Kent Vulnerability Investigation Team took on the case, and their efforts culminated in charges being brought against Scott in September 2021. During the legal proceedings, Scott, who resides on Birds Avenue in Margate, admitted to 12 separate charges. These included rape of a child, engaging in sexual activity with a minor, and inciting a young girl to participate in sexual acts.

Following his admission, Scott was sentenced to a total of 10 years and 10 months behind bars. In addition to his imprisonment, the court imposed an indefinite Sexual Harm Prevention Order, designed to prevent any future offences once he is released from custody. The case has brought to light the importance of vigilance and the need for protective measures for vulnerable children in the community of Margate and beyond.
