ANTHONY MORRISSEY SENTENCED TO 14 YEARS FOR CHILD SEX OFFENCES IN LIVERPOOL
A man from the Old Swan area of Liverpool has been handed a lengthy prison sentence of 14 years after being convicted of serious child sex offences.The individual, Anthony Morrissey, aged 69 and residing on St Oswald’s Street, appeared before Liverpool Crown Court on Tuesday, June 4, where he was formally sentenced following his conviction.
During the court proceedings, Morrissey was found guilty of multiple heinous crimes, including rape, inciting a girl under the age of 13 to engage in sexual activity, and causing a child under 13 to observe sexual acts.
These offences highlight the severity of his actions and the impact they have had on the victims involved.
In addition to his prison term, Morrissey was subjected to a Sexual Harm Prevention Order that will remain in effect indefinitely, serving as a measure to prevent any future offences.
Furthermore, he will be registered on the Sexual Offender Register for the rest of his life, ensuring ongoing monitoring and restrictions related to his conduct.
The crimes for which Morrissey was convicted took place in Liverpool during December 2021.
